William has experience performing financial statement audits and providing financial advisory services for companies in a broad range of industries. He has worked with organizations on fraud investigations and accounting restatements that involved forensic and complex accounting issues.

Prior to joining Natoma Partners, William was a manager at Huron Consulting Group. Prior to that, he was a senior auditor with Cannon Ivy, PLLC.

Representative examples of William’s engagement experience include the following:

• Assisted outside counsel of a public company in the response to SEC inquiry regarding revenue recognition.
• Analyzed and assessed damages related to contract disputes between and oil refiner and a marketer. Assisted in the preparation of expert and rebuttal reports.
• Supported Senior Management of a public company with accounting expertise and financial analysis during the audit process. Led team that provided information to address audit inquiries/matters needed to meet accounting requirements.
• Managed the reconciliation and support process of reconsolidating approximately 240 business units for eleven periods spanning five fiscal years involved in a restatement of a Fortune 500 corporation.
• Created, maintained, and reviewed consolidation process documentation and business unit support for balances reported in the historical SEC filings of a manufacturing company.
• Assisted in the reconciliation of an accounts payable trade balance of approximately $13.1M that spanned over 3 fiscal years in a foreign subsidiary of a domestic public registrant.
• Involved in the classifying and gathering of key documents associated with a fraud investigation of 20+ accounting errors and irregularities of a federally-chartered mortgage service company.

Public Accounting

• Planned and performed financial statement audit and attestation services on private companies in the manufacturing, distribution, insurance, and property management industries.
• Assisted in the tax preparation of corporations and partnerships by researching and analyzing various issues to comply with tax and accounting regulatory requirements.
• Executed and prepared unbiased performance assessment on non-audit clients to measure business objectives attainment and identify opportunities for improvement.
